The role of Curator for Lancaster Arts is at the centre of our artistic programme. You will work closely with the Director to realise our potential as a combined arts National Portfolio Organisation, situated within a leading university which is committed to interdisciplinary practice and civic engagement. Our contemporary arts programme integrates our presentational programme with commissions and arts sector development, working within annual themes. You will be highly committed to developing collaborative practices and new partnerships that build on our working values and the support of new artistic practices. 

You will be responsible for the visual arts programme, be this in the Peter Scott Gallery, the campus or in the city of Lancaster and Morecambe, as well as with regional, national, and international partners. This role oversees the care and maintenance of the University Art Collection, ensuring its sustainability and capability to flourish. 

Lancaster Arts has been part of the combined arts portfolio of Arts Council England for almost 20 years, with a renowned reputation for cutting-edge arts practice in all art forms. The ISS department is undergoing a significant digital transformation. The primary focus of the role is to develop and support functionality within the Enterprise Operations team, which currently consists of 5 full-time software developers. The team is responsible for a wide range of Software products and services including bespoke products developed in-house, customised third party Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products, and externally managed products.  

As a senior developer, you will take a leading role in medium sized projects in areas such as cloud migration, as well as supporting, maintaining and implementing change to existing products and services. To do this you must have experience of full stack development and working with front end and back-end technologies.  

The successful candidate will have experience of: 

• Develop scalable C# .NET Core applications, including API development, with a focus on high performance 
• Building user interfaces using Angular or similar frameworks  
• Maintain and enhance legacy ASP.NET Web Forms applications.  
• Develop and optimise SQL databases and stored procedures 
• Contribute to technology planning and decision making 
• Design and implement complex system architectures and solutions.

We’re looking for an Innovation and Engagement Facilitator to join our friendly and ambitious team in the School of Computing and Communications supporting the delivery of the flagship CyberFocus Place-Based Impact Accelerator Account (PBIAA) Project. Key elements of your job will be to: 

• Plan, coordinate and facilitate catalysts, sandpits, workshops, and other engagement activities.
• Support collaborative projects from concept through to delivery, working with researchers and stakeholders to maintain active engagement throughout the programme.
• Develop follow-up plans based on insights from innovation activities, fostering further collaboration across the CyberFocus ecosystem.

About you

To be a suitable candidate for this position, you will have:
