            <p>Lancaster University are looking for a passionate, experienced and proactive Tax Manager to join our Financial Operations and Compliance team.</p><p>Lancaster University is an established thriving UK university with a world-class reputation for excellence in research, teaching and engagement. Lancaster is consistently ranked in the top universities in all three major UK league tables, and continues to build a growing reputation both nationally and internationally.</p><p>The role will support the Financial Operations and Compliance team in a portfolio of indirect tax compliance activities including the submission of the group VAT return and ensuring University compliance with relevant tax legislation including imports and exports. The role will also involve liaison with HMRC and internal and external auditors on relevant areas of their portfolio.&nbsp;</p><p>As a member of the Financial Operations and Compliance team, the role holder will be a strong team player with excellent communication skills looking to support efficient and effective business processes, with a focus on customer service.</p><p>Applicants must meet all the essential criteria on the Person Specification to be considered for interview.             <p id="isPasted"><br>Bailrigg Campus (hybrid working available)</p><p><br>Lancaster University is seeking an experienced and technically strong Senior Strategic Finance Partner to join the Financial Planning &amp; Analysis team.</p><p>This senior finance leadership role supports Professional Services and other non-Faculty areas, providing strategic financial insight, robust analysis, and evidence-based advice to senior stakeholders.</p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>You will:</p><ul type="disc"><li>Lead financial planning, budgeting and forecasting for your portfolio.</li><li>Develop and maintain financial models to support multi-year planning and scenario analysis.</li><li>Analyse financial performance to identify trends, risks and opportunities.</li><li>Present clear and insightful financial information to senior decision-makers.</li><li>Lead the University&rsquo;s TRAC return through to Vice-Chancellor sign-off.</li><li>Line manage and develop members of the Finance team.</li><li>Deputise for the Director of Financial Planning &amp; Analysis, as required.</li></ul><p>The role requires strong technical financial analysis capability combined with effective stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.</p><p><strong>About You</strong></p><p>You will be:</p><ul type="disc"><li>A fully qualified accountant (CCAB/CIMA or equivalent).</li><li>Experienced in senior-level finance partnering within a complex organisation.</li><li>Technically strong in financial modelling and forecasting.</li><li>Confident interpreting and presenting complex financial information.</li><li>A collaborative leader committed to continuous improvement.</li></ul><p>Higher Education experience and knowledge of TRAC are desirable but not essential.</p><p>Lancaster University offers a competitive salary, generous leave entitlement, professional development opportunities, and family-friendly policies.
